Jesus Prays on the Mount of Olives

Then, accompanied by the disciples,
Jesus left the upstairs room and went as usual to the
Mount of Olives.
There he told them,

“Pray that you will not give in to temptation.”

Christ Like for Life

Psalm23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
In these words, the believer is taught to express his satisfaction in the care of the great Pastor
of the universe, the Redeemer and Preserver of men.
With joy he reflects that he has a shepherd, and that shepherd is Jehovah.
A flock of sheep, gentle and harmless, feeding in verdant pastures, under the care of a skilful, watchful, and tender shepherd, forms an emblem of believers brought back to the Shepherd
of their souls.
The greatest abundance is but a dry pasture to a wicked man, who relishes in it only what pleases the senses; but to a godly man, who by faith tastes the goodness of God in all his enjoyments, though he has but little of the world, it is a green pasture.

The Lord gives quiet and contentment in the mind, whatever the lot is.
Are we blessed with the green pastures of the ordinances, let us not think it enough to pass through them, but let us abide in them.
The consolations of the Holy Spirit are the still waters by which the saints are led; the streams which flow from the Fountain of living waters.

Those only are led by the still waters of comfort, who walk in the paths of righteousness.
The way of duty is the truly pleasant way.
The work of righteousness in peace. In these paths we cannot walk, unless.
God lead us into them, and lead us on in them.
Discontent and distrust proceed from unbelief; an unsteady walk is the consequence: let us then simply trust our Shepherd’s care, and hearken to his voice.

The valley of the shadow of death may denote the most severe and terrible affliction,
or dark dispensation of providence, that the psalmist ever could come under.

Between the part of the flock on earth and that which is gone to heaven, death lies like a dark valley that must be passed in going from one to the other.
But even in this there are words which lessen the terror.serpent will not sting, nor the shadow of
a sword kill. It is a valley, deep indeed, and dark, and miry; but valleys are often fruitful, and so is death itself fruitful of comforts to God’s people.

It is a walk through it: they shall not be lost in this valley, but get safe to the mountain on the other side. Death is a king of terrors, but not to the sheep of Christ. When they come to die,
God will rebuke the enemy; he will guide them with his rod, and sustain them with his staff.
There is enough in the gospel to comfort the saints when dying, and underneath them are the everlasting arms.

The Lord’s people feast at his It is but the shadow of death: the shadow of a table, upon the provisions of his love.
Satan and wicked men are not able to destroy their comforts, while they are anointed with the Holy Spirit, and drink of the cup of salvation which is ever full.
Past experience teaches believers to trust that the goodness and mercy of God will follow them
all the days of their lives, and it is their desire and determination, to seek their happiness in the service of God here, and they hope to enjoy his love for ever in heaven.

While here, the Lord can make any situation pleasant, by the anointing of his Spirit and the joys
of his salvation. But those that would be satisfied with the blessings of his house, must keep close to the duties of it.

Father I ask that you teach me how to pray so that I may have a relationship with you
in Jesus name Amen
Thank you Father for your son Jesus died
on the cross for my sins in Jesus name
Amen

In the beginning was the Word, And the Word was with God, And the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him,And without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

 John 1:15John
Christ, the Eternal Word
In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, Or and nothing that was created was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything.and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. Or and the darkness has not understood it. God sent a man,
John the Baptist, to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony.

John himself was not the light; he was simply a witness to tell about the light. The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn–not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. So the Word became flesh. and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness Or grace and truth; also in 1:17. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
John testified about him when he shouted to the crowds, “This is the one I was talking about when I said, Someone is coming after me who is far greater than I am, for he existed long before me.’”

“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your nameYour kingdom come, your will be done,on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Jesus walked on the earth in perfect unity with his Father's will. He did whatever he saw the Father doing and he destroyed the works of the enemy everywhere he ministered. He was God made flesh. Can it get any better than that? Yet, Jesus prayed a prayer at the end of his earthly life that has yet to be answered.

At his last supper with his disciples he prayed a prayer for all who would believe in him: "that they may all be one; even as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be in Us; that the world may believe that Thou didst send Me."(John 17:21)

It would seem that in the very beginning of the church there was that unity Jesus prayed for. As they waited for the Holy Spirit to fall on Pentecost,Acts 1:14 tells us: "These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer."

“’O God of my father Abraham and God of my father Isaac, O Lord, who didst say to me,

“Return to your country and to your relatives, and I will prosper you,
” I am unworthy of all the loving kindness and of all the faithfulness which Thou hast shown to Thy servant; for with my staff only I crossed this Jordan, and now I have become two companies.
Deliver me, I pray, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau; for I fear him, lest he come and attack me, the mothers with the children. For Thou didst say,
“I will surely prosper you, and make your descendants as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.

For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man; so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. 2 Timothy 3:16 (read)

The Apostle Paul says that God inspired the writers of the Bible.
"All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

" In the NIV version of the Bible,
it says that Scripture is God-breathed.
No matter the interpretation, the writers of the Bible
put words to paper as the Holy Spirit instructed them.
With this understanding, Christians can count on the
written words contained in the Bible to have deep
and personal meaning to their lives.

And it is the Holy Spirit who enlightens believers when reading a Scripture, with the goal of imparting wisdom, knowledge or understanding in order to have an immediate impact.

This is a great promise of God; that He is with us when weread His word and He is able to make His words come alive in our hearts.

Though the Greek word Rhema does not appear in non-Greek Bibles,
Matthew 4:4
is an excellent example of its importance.
"Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word [rhema] that proceeds out of the mouth of God." In John 6:63, Jesus confirmed this point when he said, "The words [rhema] that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life."

No one can do it all alone. Isolation brings deterioration to the spirit in you, which desires to communicate.
Together, with our agreement in faith, we are a spiritual majority.

God is not through with the work He has started in you. Today is the first day of the rest of
your life.

What you do with it is your gift to God. Draw closer to Him, and He will come closer to you than ever before.
A new atmosphere is developing around you.

One seed can unleash a thousand miracle blessings. By sowing seeds according to God's Word,
you unleash the miracle blessing power of God into all your affairs
(Galatians 6:7).

Satan delights in efforts to make you believe that you are not worthy of God's love, but God says
that you are the apple of His eye. A person without the joy of the spirit is a person at the mercy of every disappointment.

Psalms 119
1 Your Word Is a Lamp to My Feet Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in the law of the Lord!
2 Blessed are those who keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart,
3 who also do no wrong, but walk in his ways!
4 You have commanded your precepts to be kept diligently.
5 Oh that my ways may be steadfast in keeping your statutes!
6 Then I shall not be put to shame, having my eyes fixed on all your commandments.
7 I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous rules.
8 I will keep your statutes; do not utterly forsake me!
9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.
10 With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments!
11 I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
12 Blessed are you, O Lord; teach me your statutes!
13 With my lips I adeclare all the rules of your mouth.
14 In the way of your testimonies I delight as much as in all criches.
15 I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.
16 I will delight in your statutes; I will not forget your word.
17 Deal bountifully with your servant, that I may live and keep your word.
18 Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law.
19 I am a sojourner on the earth; hide not your commandments from me!
20 My soul is consumed with longing for your rules at all times.
21 You rebuke the insolent, accursed ones, who wander from your commandments.
22 Take away from me scorn and contempt, for I have kept your testimonies.
23 Even though princes sit plotting against me, your servant will meditate on your statutes.
24 Your testimonies are my delight; they are my counselors.
25 My soul clings to the dust; give me life according to your word!
26 When I told of my ways, you answered me; teach me your statutes!
27 Make me understand the way of your precepts, and I will meditate on your wondrous works.
28 My soul melts away for sorrow; strengthen me according to your word!
29 Put false ways far from me and graciously teach me your law!
30 I have chosen the way of faithfulness; I set your rules before me.
31 I cling to your testimonies, O Lord; let me not be put to shame!
32 I will run in the way of your commandments when you enlarge my heart!
33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes; and I will keep it to the end.
34 Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.
35 Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it.
36 Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain!
37 Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things; and give me life in your ways.
38 Confirm to your servant your promise, that you may be feared.
39 Turn away the reproach that I dread, for your rules are good.
40 Behold, I long for your precepts; in your righteousness give me life!
41 Let your steadfast love come to me, O Lord, your salvation according to your promise;
42 then shall I have an answer for him who taunts me, for I trust in your word.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, for my hope is in your rules.
44 I will keep your law continually, forever and ever,
45 and I shall walk in a wide place, for I have sought your precepts.
46 I will also speak of your testimonies before kings and shall not be put to shame,
47 for I find my delight in your commandments, which I love.
48 I will lift up my hands toward your commandments, which I love, and I will meditate on your statutes.
49 Remember your word to your servant, in which you have made me hope.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life.
51 The insolent utterly deride me, but I do not turn away from your law.
52 When I think of your rules from of old, I take comfort, O Lord.
53 Hot indignation seizes me because of the wicked, who forsake your law.
54 Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my sojourning.
55 I remember your name in the night, O Lord, and keep your law.
56 This blessing has fallen to me, that I have kept your precepts.
57 The Lord is my portion; I promise to keep your words.
58 I entreat your favor with all my heart; be gracious to me according to your promise.
59 When I think on my ways, I turn my feet to your testimonies;
60 I hasten and do not delay to keep your commandments.
61 Though the cords of the wicked ensnare me, I do not forget your law.
62 At midnight I rise to praise you, because of your righteous rules.
63 I am a companion of all who fear you, of those who keep your precepts.
64 The earth, O Lord, is full of your steadfast love; teach me your statutes!
65 You have dealt well with your servant, O Lord, according to your word.
66 Teach me agood judgment and knowledge, for I believe in your commandments.
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep your word.
68 You are good and do good; teach me your statutes.
69 The insolent smear me with lies, but with my whole heart I keep your precepts;
70 their heart is unfeeling like fat, but I idelight in your law.
71 It is jgood for me that I was afflicted, that I might learn your statutes.
72 The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.
73 Your hands have made and fashioned me; give me understanding that I may learn your commandments.
74 Those who fear you shall see me and rejoice, because I have hoped in your word.
75 I know, O Lord, that your rules are righteous, and that in faithfulness you have afflicted me.
76 Let your steadfast love comfort me according to your promise to your servant.
77 Let your rmercy come to me, that I may live; for your law is my delight.
78 Let tthe insolent be put to shame, because they have wronged me with falsehood; as for me, I will meditate on your precepts.

The Holy Bible : English Standard Version.
God has plans for you. He wants you to affect the lives of others in the most beneficial ways. Today is the first day of the rest of your life.
You are worthy of a new dream, because you are God's dream. God planted the dream seed within you, as an invisible picture of the desired miracle blessing you want from Him.
This miracle blessing must be something that you respect enough to pursue. With help from God, you will possess that which you respect and pursue, "for with God all things are possible."
( Mark 10:27}.You will attract whatever it is that you respect. Whatever you desire, whether it's wealth, health, knowledge, and so on, you must respect and be willing to establish habits that reflect your respect for that gift from God.

It all begins with now. Start to use everything that God has given you thus far wisely and under the direction of the Holy Spirit.
Incredible events are now unfolding for you. Be prepared every day that you awaken, because the stage is being set for great things to happen.

Your attitude is the eye of your soul. If your attitude is negative, then you see everything negatively. When your attitude is positive, you are able to see as God sees - everything positively.

The most important thing I can tell you is that you don't have to please anyone but God. The one thing that pleases God most is that you believe Him and put your trust in Him. Believe, in faith, that God will work everything out for your benefit
(Romans 8:28).

Thank you for being part of this ministry. You are very special to us, because God brought us together. Remember, every change in attitude comes through understanding and acceptance of truth.

You are the only creature that God created with the ability to remold and reshape yourself by altering your attitude.
God bless you.

Jeremiah - intercession on behalf of the people (Jeremiah 42:2)
And (they) said to Jeremiah the prophet, "Please let our petition come before you, and pray for us to the Lord your God, that is for all this remnant; because we are left but a few out of many, as your own eyes now see us, that the Lord your God may tell us the way in which we should walk and the thing that we should do."

Abraham - for Sodom

(Genesis 18:23-24)
And Abraham came near and said, "Wilt Thou indeed sweep away the righteous with the wicked? Suppose there are fifty righteous with the city; wilt Thou indeed sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake or the fifty righteous who are in it?"

1 Kings 9:3
The Lord said to him,“I have heard your prayer and your petition.
I have set this Temple apart to be holy–this place you have built where My name will be honored forever.
I will always watch over it, for it is dear to My heart. James 5:16
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

Matthew 6:9
Pray like this:Our Father in heaven, may Your name be kept holy.

Psalms 42:8
But each day the Lord pours His unfailing love upon me,and through each night I sing
His songs, praying to God who gives me life.

What Does the "Resurrection Mean?

1 All past can be forgiven. I love to golf with guys who use "Mulligans or do-overs." In life,we all have done things we wish we hadn't done and said things and thought things we wish we hadn't. We all have regrets. We all have guilt.

The tragedy is many people can't get on with their future because they're stuck in the past. Some guilt or something has tied-them down. They say, "I guess I'll just have to live with this the rest of my life." And they're running with this baggage ~ emotional garbage - wondering why they're not happy.
Colossians 3:14 is good "He has forgiven all our sins and canceled every record of the debt we owed. Christ has done away with it by nailing it to the cross." This is God's bail out program God nailed it all to the cross. Jesus paid for my guilt. That means I don't have to pay for it. He was "hung for my hang ups." Jesus Christ was najled to the cross so I can quit nailing myself to the cross. He wants to forgive our past.

God wants to cancel every record of all debts you owe ~ emotional debts, relational debts, spiritual debts or sin.
My present problems can be managed. Much of life is unmanageable. Maturity is when you realize that you can't manage all that life is going to send you. But God can. And that's good news.

I can't control everything in my life, but God can. The #1 complaint from people today is "I feel powerless to change... I feel powerless to break a bad habit... I feei powerless to save a relationship...
I feel powerless to get out of debt... I feel powerless to manage my time."
What we need is a power greater than ourselves. We were never meant to live this life just on our own power.
Ephesians 1:20 "How incredibly great is His power to help those who believe Him, the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead.

" The same power than enabled Jesus to rise from death will help us rise above our problems. The same power that God used at the resurrection 2000 years ago can be used in our lives right now. Even though the future is out of my control, it's not out of God's.
My future can be secured. One of the universal problems we have is death. Everybody dies.
I'm going to die someday and so are you. Only a fool would go all through life unprepared for something he knows is inevitable. Sometimes we get so busy in the here and now we don't stop to think about what's going to come.
One day we are going to stand before God. Here's what the Bible says about the future -about heaven and hell.

There are two ways the Bible says you can get to heaven. Plan A is to earn it. That's the performance plan. To earn it you only have to be perfect and never sin for your entire lifetime. No one is perfect except Jesus.
Since none of us qualify for Plan A, God came up with Plan B. Plan B is you trust Jesus Christ and establish a relationship to Him.

He came so we could know what God is like. Plan B is the only plan to find forgiveness and it requires faith and commitment. Commit to the only plan that can secure your eternal destiny by asking Jesus to be your Savior. He will forgive you and give you the power to love for Him. :and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to show unto his servants the things which must shortly be done."
Revelation 22:6

To appreciate your true worth is to recognize that the Spirit of God created you and is with you daily.
God comes through your mind with Divine ideas making you all-wise.
God comes through your body making you all capable. As you realize the power of God with you and within you, you become a channel through which this power flows. You make important contributions to life and life appreciates you for what you are ~ a child of God. To be truly successful you must appreciate your true worth as a child of God. Nothing great is ever accomplished by a person who does not believe in him or herself. You have powers and potentials you have not yet begun to realize. As you recognize your true worth as a child of God, you are inspired to call forth and use your God given talents, many of which are still undiscovered powers and potentials. You are imbued with a strength and stamina needed to accomplish all that you are capable of accomplishing. God is capable and ready to accomplish great things through you.
To humans it might be impossible but WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!
Self-confidence is basic to success. If you are one who downgrades your ability, who thinks in terms of fear and failure, how do you change this picture; how do you put on self-confidence? Self-confidence is increased as self-awareness of God with you is increased. What is self-awareness?
It is to be aware that beyond the limited human
self is the self created in the image and likeness of God. Jesus Christ urges you today, through his teachings, to become more than you think you can become. With God, you are unlimited. With God, you have great powers and capabilities. No matter what you are trying to succeed in accomplishing, you have innate essentials for success. With God, you have wisdom, intelligence, strength, power and light. With God, you are capable and you are success motivated.
Through faith in God's presence with you at all times you develop a self-confidence that is based on strength of God instead of the limitations of your human self. With God, you will be successful in ALL your endeavors. As it says in Genesis 1:26,
"Let them have dominion." It is time for you to have dominion over your life by realizing that you are more than flesh and blood. It is time for you to take dominion over your life by realizing that you are not defined by past failure and limitations. It is time for you to take dominion over your life, by realizing you are never alone,GOD IS WITH YOU.
POSITIVE DAILY PRAYER:
Through the touch of God, I have a new self-image of myself. I begin to see myself the way that God sees me, and therefore value my worth. Through prayer I'm able to catch a vision of what I may do with the power of God coming through me and see a glimpse of my worth as a person to humanity.
POSITIVE DAILY AFFIRMATION: I see God's good everywhere, including in myself, and I am spiritually growing now.
POSITIVE DAILY QUOTE: "And in the end, it's not the years in your life .

SELF-WORTH
"Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies?
And not one of them is forgotten before God
Fear not; you are of MORE VALUE than many sparrows."Luke 12:6, 7

KIDS IN CHURCH

3-year-old Reese:
'Our Father, Who does art in heaven,
Harold is His name. Amen.'
A little boy was overheard praying:
'Lord, if you can't make me a better boy, don't worry about it. I'm having a real good time like I am.'
After the christening of his baby brother in church,
Jason sobbed all the way home in the back seat of the car.
His father asked him three times what was wrong.
Finally, the boy replied,

That preacher said he wanted us brought up in a Christian home, and I wanted to stay with you guys.'
One particular four-year-old prayed, 'And forgive us our trash baskets
as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets.'
A Sunday school teacher asked her children as they
were on the way to church service,
'And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?'
One bright little girl replied,
'Because people are sleeping.'

A mother was preparing pancakes for her sons, Kevin 5, and Ryan 3 The boys began to argue over who would get the first pancake.
Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson.
'If Jesus were sitting here, He would say,
'Let my brother have the first pancake, I can wait.' Kevin turned to his younger brother and said,
'Ryan, you be Jesus!'
A father was at the beach with his children when the four-year-old son ran up to him,
grabbed his hand, and led him to the shore
where a seagull lay dead in the sand. 'Daddy, what happened to him?' the son asked.'
He died and went to Heaven,' the Dad replied. The boy thought a moment and then said, 'Did God throw him back down?'
A wife invited some people to dinner.
At the table, she turned to their six-year-old daughter and said, 'Would you like to say the blessing?'

'I wouldn't know what to say,' the girl replied. 'Just say what you hear Mommy say,' the wife answered.

The daughter bowed her head and said, 'Lord, why on earth did I invite all these people to dinner?'
And if you don't send this to at least 8 people who cares?
Peace, love and happiness
THE PAST IS LIKE A RUDDER TO GUIDE YOU, NOT AN ANCHOR TO DRAG YOU DOWN.

There is nothing that the devil and some people would rather do than parade everything you have ever done wrong back and forth in front of you.

Satan knows that every time you are reminded of things from the past, you have the experience all over again in your mind.

The Holy Spirit is raising you to a place above this tactic, to a level where the devil or anyone else won't be able to use it against you.

God has placed all of your past mistakes and failures in the "sea of forgetfulness" to be remembered no more
(Mark 3:28).

God says to you that, in Him, ".. .Behold, all things are become new.
" II Corinthians 5:17.

All humans fail. All are imperfect, and all are incomplete. All need God. God wants you to love Him, because you want to and not because you feel that you have to.

He wants to be part of your life, because you want Him to be, because you love Him. It is because God loves you that the devil despises you. Yet, in everything you go through, you are not alone.
The more you go through with God, the more He loves you, and the stronger you become. Salvation is experienced instantaneously.

In faith, we feel that the Holy Spirit has a long-term plan in your financial matters, which will be a pattern breaker, opening your eyes to pitfalls and mistakes and setting you on a completely new path. You seek to get a firm grip on your financial destiny, and while there are hills to climb, you are not alone. Let the Holy Spirit guide your course to brilliant triumphs. Ahead comes heartening developments that will lead to major breakthroughs, and, best of all, it is in progress.
